Russia, Arab League able to reshape globe together
(MENAFN) Russian President Vladimir Putin has formally invited leaders of the Arab League member states and the League’s Secretary-General to attend the inaugural Russia-Arab Summit, set for October 15, 2025. The invitation, shared on the Kremlin’s official website, coincided with the opening of the 34th Arab League Summit amid ongoing turmoil in the Middle East.
In his message, Putin expressed Russia’s respect for its Arab partners and emphasized the importance of building a stable, respectful, and constructive partnership with the League. He described the Arab League as a key regional organization that plays a vital role in promoting peace and security both within the Arab world and globally.
Putin highlighted Russia’s interest in developing deeper, mutually beneficial cooperation with Arab countries, grounded in equality and respect for sovereignty. He also addressed the worsening Israeli-Palestinian conflict, noting the high civilian toll and severe humanitarian consequences. He warned that continued violence could destabilize the region further and pose broader international security risks.
Stressing the importance of the Arab League’s role in coordinating diplomatic efforts and peaceful resolutions, Putin reiterated Moscow’s support for political and diplomatic initiatives aimed at long-term conflict resolution in the region.
The upcoming summit in Moscow, he stated, offers a chance to enhance political dialogue, coordinate on key global issues, and promote collective efforts for peace and development across the Middle East, North Africa, and beyond. Putin expressed hope that the event would usher in a new chapter in Russia-Arab relations based on trust, respect, and a shared commitment to global stability and prosperity.
