Turkey’s benchmark stock index opens with all-time high record

(MENAFN) Türkiye’s main stock index kicked off Tuesday at a new record level of 11,489.07 points, marking a modest increase of 0.1%, or 11.27 points, compared with the previous session.

On Monday, the BIST 100 climbed 0.93% to reach its prior record of 11,477.80 points, with daily trading activity totaling 142.9 billion Turkish liras ($3.48 billion), as stated by reports.

By 09:50 a.m. local time (06:50 GMT) on Tuesday, the Turkish lira was exchanging at 41.0150 against the US dollar, 47.7180 versus the euro, and 55.2465 against the British pound.

Gold prices stood at $3,376.30 per ounce, while Brent crude oil was trading at $67.85 per barrel, according to reports.
