Ukraine Recaptures Eight Settlements Along Oleksandrivka Front
In a statement on Telegram, Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi said he met with commanders during a visit to the southern front, reviewing combat operations and outlining priority steps to support Ukrainian units.
Describing the situation as “difficult,” Syrskyi noted that while some Ukrainian troops maintain defensive positions, others continue offensive operations.
“Since the end of January this year, formations of the Air Assault Forces together with adjacent units have restored control over 400 square kilometers (154 square miles) of territory and eight settlements on the Oleksandrivka direction,” he said, without specifying the names of the settlements.
The Oleksandrivka front spans areas at the junction of Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Russian authorities have not commented on the claims, and independent verification remains challenging due to ongoing hostilities.
